Pulling the Cash in for Charity
STRONGMAN David Stitt was flexing his muscles yesterday to get warmed up for a series of charity events over the coming months. But while some of us might consider a few stretches a sufficient enough workout, David decided to harness himself up and pull one of Richmond's coaches around Derriaghy Industrial Park in Dunmurry.
Yesterday's event was a taster for a sponsored car pull around Lisburn next month.
On June 14, David will be lugging a car round the city streets in aid of RAMS - Race Against Multiple Sclerosis.
Then, on August 13, things will really take off for David when he pulls an aeroplane round the Newtownards airfield - another charity event. The Ulster strongman will also be taking part in the annual open day at Lisburn fire station on June 25.
